Developing Agriculture, Developing a Shared Welfare - White Paper on Indonesia'a Agriculture Policy
This document is a policy statement on Agricultural Development to be
proposed to the government. This white paper recommends what the
government should do and how to do it, what is involved and how much
benefit to be achieved, as well as the type and amount of cost needed
in the next ten years.
This White Paper is a policy document with a wide perspective and cross
sectoral in nature, which is not a technical guide but rather a road
map. Thus, this White Paper will focus on the main challenges of
Indonesian Agriculture Development Policy and identify strategies to be
taken in order to achieve the objective of Agricultural Development.
The
purpose of this paper is to identify the nature of these concerns and
to find mechanisms that the donor community could employ to respond
creatively to the challenges that are likely to emerge in this domain.
