Current Openings:

Head of Research (Indonesia Office)

Strategic Asia is looking for a highly gifted and public policy oriented individual to head its research program, support its various project teams and assist in the preparation of project proposals and tenders. He / she must hold a Masters or Ph.D degree in economics or political economy from an internationally recognised university, have at least ten years of undertaking and managing policy research, have close familiarity with major Asian economies and have a proven ability to work in diverse country and subject teams.

The Head of Research would be a member of the Strategic Asia’s senior staff team and would be expected to contribute actively to work planning, business development and in house staff training. He / she would also be expected to develop and manage a large network of research partnerships, technical seminars and inter-country research programmes.

Country Economic Analyst (Indonesia Office)

The country economic analyst would be responsible for preparing quarterly and annual economic assessment reports for Indonesia, contributing to the preparation of policy briefs and working papers, managing the economic database, organising media communication and press releases. He or she will play an active role in providing economic intelligence to Strategic Asia project teams and within Strategic-Asia’s staff training.

The candidate is expected to hold a Masters of higher degree in economics with a close familiarity with economic forecasting techniques. He or she should have strong economic analysis skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly both in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Relevant working or research experience of five years or more would be an advantage.  The ability to travel both inside and outside Indonesia is essential.

Statistical Analyst / Research Officer (Indonesia Office)

As the statistical analyst for Strategic Asia the candidate would have an excellent undergraduate or post-graduate degree in statistics or quantitative economics from a recognised Indonesian university. He or she would have at least three years working experience in quantitative analysis and the production of statistical reports in any major public policy area. The candidate should feel comfortable in multi-country teams and be able to work under pressure.
