Our Approach

Strategic Asia’s business strategy lays the foundations for implementing our portfolio of activities and assignments. Here are some highlights:

  • Strong country presence through locally registered Strategic Asia companies and offices: in the first five years of operations we expect to have a set of inter-linked companies in Indonesia, India, China, Korea and Japan.

  • Country representatives and senior advisors in key markets: Australia, USA, UK as well as other countries in the region: Bangladesh, Thailand and others.

  • A research, training and conferencing arm located in Bali: the Strategic Asia Policy Institute

  • Strong private-public partnerships in chosen strategic areas

  • Structured Consultative mechanisms to provide ground testing of policy proposals: building on a network of institutions such as JAJAKI in Indonesia.

This strategy requires the establishment of high level policy panels and advisory boards which will prioritise strategic policy issues, build partnerships and have agenda setting authority.

These panels need to be served by world class, lateral thinking and committed staffers taken from our technical pool. Continuous retraining, reworking and renewal of these technical teams might be considered an unnecessary burden in many companies.  Strategic Asia on the other hand, sees it as a defining feature of its corporate culture.
