Strategic Asia Europe in partnership with Asia House held the 2011 Youth Symposium on 1st November 2011 in the Kings Fund, New Cavendish Street. The Youth Symposium was a day of speeches and panel discussions from experts on Asian economies and youth demographics from business, government and academia.

The Symposium builds on the success of Asia House's 2010 conference entitled "Engaging the Asian Future" which sought to engage potential UK stakeholders in Asian economies with the issues affecting Asian economic, social and political development. This year's conference addresses the issues of youth unemployment, realisation of the demographic dividend, the shift towards a knowledge economy and the potential for civil unrest among disenfranchised youth.
